PSC Men's Club Annual Dinner Meeting

This meeting includes a free dinner, recognizing the winner of this year's Aylon Engler PSC Man-of-the-Year Award, and a guest speaker.  This year's guest speaker will be Stuart Rojstaczer (author of the book The Mathematician's Shiva) - Title: How To Write A Novel About Jewish (and Slavic) Mathematicians. Stuart Rojstaczer is an American writer, scientist and musician. He is a former Duke University geophysics professor, and has lived in Israel, Italy and throughout the United States. He has written about education for the New York Times and the Washington Post, and has written research articles in hydrology, ecology, geophysics and geology for Science, Nature and many other scientific journals. He received the National Jewish Book Award for Outstanding Debut Fiction (2014) and has been a Karma Foundation Annual Short Story Finalist and a National Science Foundation Young Investigator. His scientific work has influenced state and national laws, informed Supreme Court decisions and has resulted in the launch of two earth observing satellites.
