קשר to past, present and future

Welcome to Kesher! Kesher, Hebrew for connection, is a learning community focusing on students’ interests and learning styles through project-based experiential learning and student-focused curriculum. The name is a reflection of our objective: for our students and their families to connect with the richness of Jewish life while building lasting relationships with fellow students and their families.

These values are reflected in our groundbreaking flexible commitment model: if you are a member of our community here at PSC, your Kesher tuition is included in your membership! Our community values and has decided to collectively support and invest in the education of our children, rather than placing it behind an additional paywall for families. Join us and build your child’s connected future!

Our Mission

Here at Kesher, our mission is to build a community of learners who:

  • Are knowledgeable and passionate about Jewish life, and crave to learn more.
  • Are comfortable and fluent in the central skills required for a life of Torah in today’s world. They don’t just understand the “what” and “when” questions, but the “why” questions. Our students are unafraid to ask challenging questions directed at their teachers, each other, and themselves!
  • Do not simply identify proudly as Jews, but recognize their role in the Jewish community, both here at PSC and in the wider Jewish world.
  • Understand that Judaism challenges us to address every aspect of life thoughtfully and carefully, and to take action accordingly! Our students understand the narrow and wide scopes with which a life of Torah commands Jews to take a leap of action.
Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is shaped by celebrating the pillars of Jewish education, from the Hebrew language and ritual skills, to Jewish history, Jewish literacy, Jewish holidays and lifecycle moments, in ways that are developmentally appropriate and build deeper learning as students make their way through the program. Through formative Jewish experiences and project-based applications of concepts learned in class, students develop their proverbial Jewish lenses through which they observe the world.
